Hugo A. Procopio - Obituary

ugo A. Procopio, Jr., 55, passed on Thursday, February 4, 2021, following a heart attack. Born October 8, 1965, in Washington, DC to Marilynn Procopio (mother) and the late Hugo A. Procopio, Sr. (father). He was a graduate of Riverdale Baptist School. Hugo worked at Amazon and enjoyed watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to his mother, he is survived by Cheyenne Nicole Procopio; four siblings, Joseph Procopio of Martinsburg, WV, Carmela (Alan) Hangsleben of Lothian, MD, Rose Ann Norwood of Murfreesboro, TN, and Marilynn (Jerry) Hangsleben of Owings, MD; three nephews, Eddy Phipps, Anthony Phipps, and Kenny Norwood; two nieces, Christina Procopio, and Niki (Michael) Falzone; three great-nieces, Kylee Phipps, Madison Phipps and Emma Falzone, and three great-nephews, Lil Anthony Phipps, Tyler Phipps and Nikko Falzone. Hugo, Jr. was preceded in death by his father; Hugo A. Procopio, Sr., a brother, Albert A. Procopio; and a nephew, Dominic Procopio. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Riverdale Baptist Church Cemetery, 1133 Largo Road, Upper Marlboro, MD.
