bra Marie Talman Choate Bragg, 74, of Annapolis, MD, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, MD. She had been in failing health for several years. Born Tuesday July 2, 1936 in Asheville, NC. She was the daughter of the late John Junius Talman, Jr. and Bettie Montague Talman. She grew up in the Annapolis area and graduated from Annapolis Senior High School class of 1954. She worshiped in St. Anne's Parish, Annapolis, MD; Annapolis Assembly of God, Annapolis, MD; and Cornerstone Assembly of God in Bowie, MD. Her passions included birds, collecting pewter and a "good cup of tea". Her hobbies included gardening, canning, sewing, crafts and making holiday treats. She began her business career with First National Bank in Washington, DC that progressed into over 50 years of employment including Talman Office Supply, Annapolis Office Supply, both in downtown Annapolis, MD and finally retiring at Upper Marlboro Office Supply and Blue Print, Upper Marlboro, MD. Mrs. Bragg was predeceased by her second husband of twelve years, Arlie Wilton Bragg and brother, "J.J." Talman. Loving memories will be cherished by her four children of the Choate family: Henry Choate, Jr. and companion Kathy, Bowie, MD; Alan Choate and wife Teri, Linthicum Heights, MD; Mary Ann Choate Chastain, Waynesboro, PA; Pamela Choate, Everett, WA; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Choate Miller, Amanda Marie Lewis, Nathaneal Chastain, Kelsey Ness, Lara Choate, Carrie Choate, Carren Choate, and Jennifer Choate; sister, Martha Brown and husband Jim, Davidsonville, MD; former daughter-in-law, Susan Bostic Choate, Georgetown, SC, and many friends including those at the Annapolitan Assisted Living Home, Annapolis, MD to whom she brought much "sunshine" especially to her beloved Sam Atcherson. Friends are invited to Ibra’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Thursday September 9 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, where funeral service will be held on Friday, September 10 at 1pm. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
