Irene E. Musgrove - Obituary

Irene E. Musgrove, age 79, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Easton Hospital in Easton, MD from long-term pneumonia. She is predeceased by her husband, Oliver Musgrove, and her parents, James and Barbara Slater. She is survived by her siblings, Dorothy Kale and James Slater; her children, Donna Poole (Joseph), William Musgrove (Tabitha), and Kenneth Musgrove; grandchildren, Robert Figliozzi (Rachael), Jessica Poole, Alex Musgrove, David Poole, Samantha Musgrove, and Abigail Musgrove. Irene grew up in Wrigglesville, PA, and moved to Alexandria, VA when she was 18 years old. She lived most of her adult life in Edgewater, MD before moving to Arcadia Assisted Living in Chester, MD. A dedicated and hard worker, Irene worked for Briggs-Wilson Foods, food service at Anne Arundel Medical Center, and as a school bus driver for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Irene enjoyed travelling, especially to Skyline Drive and the beach, and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed. Friends are invited to celebrate Irene’s life on Monday, October 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 4 from 12 noon until Irene’s funeral service begins at 1 p.m. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. Interment at Lakemont Cemetery.
