Irene M. Parson - Obituary

rene M. Parson "I", 91, a twenty-five year resident of Dayton, OH and previously of Clinton, MD died on Friday, December 30 in Dayton. Born on September 2, 1925 in Orofino, Idaho to the late Leon and Ethel Thornton, Irene graduated from Weippe High School in 1943. She was a proofreader and editor with Traffic World Publications from 1955 to 1990. Irene enjoyed gardening, dominoes, pinochle and jigsaw puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman T. Parson and her children, Janet L. Smith and Wesley A. Parson. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Irvin; her brother, Donald Thornton; her grandchildren, Brian and Greg Smith and Wade and Bradley Parson and her great-granddaughter, Madison Parson. Friends are invited to celebrate Irene's life on Saturday, January 7 from 2 pm until her funeral service begins at 3 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD.
