Jaime Rillera Padre - Obituary

n Tuesday, July 31, 2018; the beloved husband of 54 years of Corinne Padre; father of Russ (Marites) Padre, Perry Padre and Larry (Miranda) Padre; brother of Herminia Maqui and Gemma Cabcungan. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He retired from the US Navy after 21 years of service to the country as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He then worked for the US Post office and retired from there after 15 years of service. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, was a past president of the Ilocano Society of America, as well as a long time member and a member of St. Columba Catholic Church. He was also a videographer and enjoyed making rosaries in his spare time. Relatives and friends are invited to Jim's Life Celebrations on Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. Interment with Military Honors at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 3 p.m. Please arrive at 2:15 p.m. with one's own transportation.
