James "Jim" D. Wilson - Obituary

ames Dean Wilson “Jim”, 86 a 25-year resident of Dunkirk, MD and previously of Landover Hills, MD passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Jim was born on May 12, 1936, in Washington, DC to the late Alexander and Cassia Wilson. After graduating high school, Jim proudly served his country in the US Army. Jim worked in construction as a project manager for W.C. & A.N. Miller for over 42 years. An avid fisherman, Jim also enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dottie Wilson, his children; Beth Wilson Garrett and her former spouse, Ronnie Garrett of Owings, MD, James A. Wilson and his wife Noell of Chesapeake Beach, MD and Joseph M. Wilson and his wife Cherie of Annapolis, MD. Jim is also survived by his sister, Joan Burns of Annapolis, and his grandchildren; Dylan and Logan Garrett, Ava, Alex, and Mia Wilson, and Ella and James Wilson. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jim's life on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A funeral service will follow at 12:30pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens, Dunkirk, MD.
