James Vincent Beatty - Obituary

ames “Jimmy" Vincent Beatty, 61, of Annapolis, MD formerly of Gaithersburg, MD, died on Thursday, April 19th after a 12 year battle with cancer. Born on December 28, 1956 in Washington, DC to the late Robert and Jan Beatty, Jimmy earned a bachelor's degree from Towson State University. Jimmy loved cars, boating, beach vacations, golfing and most of all spending quality time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Cheryl Beatty; his children, Brandon and Ryan Beatty, Katie Moran (Fain) and Devon Makrides; his siblings, Robert, Leith, and Steven Beatty; grandfather to Broden, Colby, and Crew Moran. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD on Thursday, April 26 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Children's Inn, 7 West Dr., Bethesda, MD 20814 (childrensinn.org).
