James Collins - Obituary

ames Patrick Collins, Sr. (Jim) (2/12/36-9/28/15), originally from Oxon Hill, MD, died in Luray VA surrounded by his wife of 51 years and his family. He was preceded in death by his father Patrick, mother Laura and sister Ann. In addition to his wife Sandy, he is survived by his two sons James Collins, Jr. (Tracy), Danny Collins (Cindy) and daughter Katie Mills (Tony), as well as five grandchildren DJ, Michael, Shelby, Madelin and Patrick. He was a United States Army veteran and a life member of the Oxon Hill Volunteer Fire Department. A memorial gathering will be held at GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Thursday, October 8 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Memorial Mass will be offered on Friday, October 9 at 11am at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, MD.
