James Thomas Felesky - Obituary

J

ames Thomas Felesky, known as "Jim", peacefully departed this world on February 29th at his Churchton residence at the age of 80. Jim was a resident of Churchton for 16 years, having previously called Annapolis home. Born on June 17, 1943, in Washington, DC, he attended Bladensburg High School. A member of the US Army Reserve, he held many diverse jobs in his youth before becoming a long-time employee at Koons Ford. In 1989, Jim co-founded Tri-Tec Automotive, specializing in European auto repair, and retired as owner. Jim was able to fix or build anything, earning him the endearing nickname “MacGyver”. His love for vehicles of all kinds was evident in his years spent drag racing at Capital Raceway, power boating on the river, building classic cars and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles. Jim is preceded in death by his daughter Christine Felesky and brothers Robert and Richard "Dick" Felesky. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Eddinger, son-in-law Jon, and grandchildren Juliet and Jonathan. Jim’s passing marks a joyful reunion with beloved family and friends. A private funeral service commemorated his life, and he now rests at peace in the serene grounds of Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to K9's for Warriors at donate.k9sforwarriors.org, honoring Jim's love for his canine companions and supporting those who served our country.
