assed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Geralis was born in Washington, D.C. He loved sports as child and teenager. He grew up playing baseball, football, basketball, horseshoes and boxing. He was a graduate of Central High School in Washington, DC. At age 21, he enlisted in the Navy and fought for our country during the Korean War. He served on the USS Menard (APA 201). He owned and operated Angie’s Place and the Cold Duck restaurants in North West Washington, D.C. with his wife. He was very active in his American Legion Post 259. Mr. Geralis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He is survived by his wife, Angeline “Angie” T. Geralis; his son, Mike and his wife, Rana; his brother, George and his wife, Jackie, Geralis; his granddaughter and the love of his life, Angelina Geralis; his sister-in-law Lula Geralis; his son, Teddy preceded him in death. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at St. Theodore Greek Orthodox Church, 7101 Cipriano Rd., Lanham, MD. Interment Glenwood Cemetery, Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church, sttheodores.org or the Wounded Warriors Project, woundedwarriorproject.org
