ames "Jimmy" Philip Goodman of Annapolis's Epping Forest passed away from complications of pulmonary fibrosis on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Jimmy was born on January 30, 1941 to the late Orville and Edna Goodman in Washington, DC. He moved with his parents to Epping Forest when he was five years old. He is survived by his children, Philip Goodman of Epping Forest, Daniel (Michelle) Goodman of Epping Forrest, and Linda Goodman (Ron Hull) of Edgewater; four grandchildren: Joshua, Matthew, Taylor, and Jordon Goodman, all of Epping Forest. Also surviving is his dear friend and former wife, Kathleen Goodman, of Epping Forest. Preceding Jimmy in death were his two brothers, Warren and Wayne. Jimmy was a graduate of Annapolis High School, class of 1959, and he received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He worked for the U. S. Navy for 46 years, starting his career as a cooperative education student with the Navy while earning his degree. For almost 60 years, Jimmy served as community manager of the Epping Forest Waterworks. Jimmy was a great father, devoted grandfather, and a cherished friend and neighbor. A memorial service will be held on January 6, 2018 at 4 PM, followed by a celebration of his life at the Epping Forest Club House, 354 Severn Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401.
