James Muldrow - Obituary

n Sunday, January 11, 2009 made his transition; Beloved brother of Elaine Muldrow-Malloy and Kenneth Muldrow. Also survived by five nieces, four nephews and a host other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Mr. Muldrow's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 12 noon until time of service at 1pm. Interment private. James Christopher Muldrow known as Butch and sometimes Kofi to family and close friends was born to the late James and Josephine Muldrow on December 17, 1945, in Washington DC. James attended DC Public Schools and continued his education at UDC where he obtains his master degree. He participated in a student exchange program that took him to Ghana, Africa. He pursued graduate studies at Harvard University and also taught school in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. James was employed with the DC Public Schools for many years as a Librarian. His last and most recent employment was at Hardy Middle School in Washington, DC. James enjoyed traveling and reading. His travels took him to many places in the world where he gained not only academia, but also spiritual knowledge. He found great joy in reading about his heritage and the purpose of life. James was a scholar of human kind. He leaves to mourn his sister Elaine Muldrow - Malloy , brother Kenneth Muldrow , nieces Paula Miller , Josette Dciammen , Saundra Howard , Dalyn Howard and Sonise Muldrow , nephews Brain Howard, Fredrick Williams , Danny Malloy and Keita Malloy . He also leaves a host of other relatives, colleagues, and close friends.
