James A. Ridgley, Sr. - Obituary

ames A. Ridgley, Sr., 79, passed away at his home in Lothian, MD on July 31, 2023. James was a veteran of the Army National Guard and the owner and operator of R&R Auto Electric Co., Inc. in Upper Marlboro for 40 years before retiring in 2009 to pursue his passions of spending time with family, farming his land, raising animals, and expertly repairing and operating equipment of all types. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan; three children, Rose (Kevin) Beall, Lauri (John) Adey, and James (Annette) Ridgley, Jr.; 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and great-granddaughter, Alaina Rose. He was loved immensely by his family and his loss will be felt for generations to come. Friends are invited to celebrate James's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, August 8 from 11 am until 12 pm. Graveside service and interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lothian, MD. Condolences may be made by using the Memories tab on this page.
