James Seen - Obituary

ames P. Seen, “Jim” an 8 year resident of Annapolis, and a previous 35 year resident of Edgewater, died on September 15, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He was 71. Born March 18, 1939 in Rochester, NY, he worked as a Construction Estimator for many years. He received a degree from the University of Hard Knocks which is affiliated with Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia. Jim was the co-founder and past President of the Utilities Contractors Association of Anne Arundel County. Jim is survived by his wife Margaret M. Seen, of Annapolis, whom he married on November 26, 1959; his children, Kenneth (Bonnie) Seen of Spencer, WV, Stephen (Karen) Seen of Davidsonville, MD, Paul (Diana) Seen of Shady Side, Maryland and Sonya (James) Walker of Owings, Maryland. Also survived by his brothers, Robert Seen of Glen Rock, PA and Harry Seen of Richmond, Virginia, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Friends are invited to Jim’s Life Celebration on Friday, September 17, from 2-4 & 6:30 to 8:30 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037, where funeral services will be held on Saturday September 18, at 10:30am. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
