James Sollers - Obituary

ames C. "Buzzy" Sollers, Jr., a 25-year resident of North Wilkesboro, NC and previously of Calvert County and Prince Frederick, MD, died on July 4, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC. He was 89. He was born May 31, 1926 in Baltimore, MD, to the late James C. Sollers, Sr. and Julia M. Langley. James was employed as a Master Electrician for the Calvert County Board of Education. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Faith, Love and Truth Apostolic Church in Wilkesboro, NC. James was the beloved husband of Eleanor D. Sollers; father of Sheila A. Hanes of Scottsville, VA and Brenda L. Brady of Wilkesboro, NC; uncle of Shirley Rolfe of Pasadena, MD; grandfather of Robert H. Munson, III, Lionel W. Bradford, III, Jonathan C. Redman, Lacey M. Bradford and Bridget E. Yancey. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 13 at 1pm at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Legion Post 220, 2105 Sixes Rd., Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
