James B. Stockett - Obituary

ames B. “J.B.” Stockett, Jr., 62, a lifelong resident of Edgewater, MD, passed away at his home on August 3, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born on August 11, 1955 in Annapolis, MD to the late Mary Lou and James Stockett, Sr. J.B. was a recreational vehicle mechanic and enjoyed classic rock, old country music and classic cars, especially the Chevrolet Bel Air. In addition to his parents, J.B. was preceded in death by his son, James B. Stockett III and two brothers, Scott Stockett and Michael Patrick Stockett. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Anita Stockett; one daughter, Jennifer Stockett of Cincinnati, OH; three brothers, Jake Stockett of Glen Burnie, MD, Gary Stockett of Frederick, MD and Jamie Stockett of Arnold, MD; three sisters, Elitha Stockett of Euless, TX, Evelyn Southard of Dundalk, MD and Patricia Hirtzel of Church Hill, MD; and one granddaughter, Kayla Stockett of Edgewater. Friends are invited to celebrate J.B.’s life with his family on Thursday, August 9 from 1 p.m. until his memorial service begins at 2 p.m. at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater.
