ames Willard Thomasson, Sr., “Jim”, an 8-year resident of Easton, MD and previously of Severna Park & Eastern Shore of MD died on Thursday, September 15, 2011 in Easton, MD. He was 78. Born June 7, 1933 in Ferndale, MD, Jim served in the United States Army. He was an entrepreneur who built many successful businesses. He was also the owner of Brookfield Builders & Developers, Inc. /PCS Homes for over 40 years. Jim was the founding Member and Board Member of Rebuilding Together (formerly Christmas in April) in Anne Arundel County. He enjoyed woodworking, boating, fishing and helping others. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Jim was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley Ann Thomasson; two sisters, Hattie Boyer and Nellie Yungmann; and one brother, Frank Thomasson . He is survived by his children, Mark Thomasson of Grasonville, MD, Michael Thomasson and his wife Liz of Severna Park, MD, Matt Thomasson and his wife Laura of Queenstown, MD, Jim Thomasson, Jr and his wife Suzanne of Annapolis, MD, Cindy Thomasson-Small and her spouse Malinda Thomasson-Small of Baltimore, MD; his grandchildren, Diane Mallare and her husband Jason, Eric Thomasson and his wife Kim, Morgan Thomasson-Small and Gregory, Sarah, James III, Matthew Jr., Katherine, Margaret and Joseph; a brother, Aubrey Thomasson of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Francis Henning of Bel Air, MD and Doris Waldman of Westminister, MD; and several loving nieces and nephews. Jim is also survived by his second wife, SherryLynn Diane Black-Thomasson and her 5 children and 7 grandchildren who loved him. Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s name to the Saint Agnes Foundation, 900 Caton Ave., Mailbox 123, Baltimore, MD 21229 or Wildfowl Trust of North America, Inc. at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center, P.O.
