James Underwood - Obituary

ames “Jim” Ray Underwood, 72, a 30-year resident of Edgewater, MD died on November 23, 2009 at his home of natural causes. Born February 7, 1937 in Charleston, WV, he served in the United States Navy on an aircraft for 4-years after graduating high school. He was employed as a telephone service technician for AT&T for many years. Mr. Underwood enjoyed hunting. He was the beloved husband of Shirley L. Underwood; father of James Ray Underwood, Jr. of Seattle, WA, Kerry Hoard of England and France and Deborah Jordan of Harwood, MD; brother of Jack Underwood of Silver Spring, MD and Virginia Kobbs of Charleston, WV. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Services and interment are private.
