Jane Cahill - Obituary

ane E. Cahill “Betsy”, 75, a 20-year resident of Heathsville, VA, previously of Edgewater, MD, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Born November 19, 1934 in Washington DC to the late James and Mary Spellbring, she graduated from Georgetown Visitation in 1952 and attended Wilson Teachers College in Washington DC. In 1960 she married Michael Cahill who died in 1978. She retired from Navy Federal Credit Union after 35 years of service. Jane was an avid reader, enjoyed bridge, crossword puzzles and Suduko. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially at her waterfront home. She is survived by her children, Jennifer Pullins, Michael, Jeffrey and Matthew Cahill; a sister Kathleen Barnes of Williamsburg, VA and her grandchildren, Lauren and Melissa Pullins, Matthew and Avery Cahill and great-grandaughter Caitlin Pullins. Friends are invited to Jane's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Thursday, May 20, from 5 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 21 at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
