J

ane M. McQuilkin, 80, a resident of Annapolis, MD for twenty-five years, died on Thursday, March 4 at her home in Heritage Harbour. Born on November 14, 1940, in Dover, New Hampshire to the late Thomas Henry and Eleanor Swallow Murray, Jane earned an Associate’s Degree in business and enjoyed a lengthy and successful career in mortgage banking and real estate. She was a member of Riva Trace Baptist Church, President of the Women’s Council of the Board of Realtors, the activity director at Heritage Harbour, and a Sunday school teacher for many years. Jane was one of a kind! She was intelligent, joyful, and most importantly, a woman who adored the Lord. She enjoyed dancing at the moose lodge, playing bunco with her girlfriends, getting her hair done once a week, having a date night with her husband, Mac, at the clubhouse every Friday night, and loved spending time with her family! She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Kearney (Mac) McQuilkin. Jane is survived by her daughter, Kimberleigh Murray of Annapolis, MD; grandchildren, Kara and Thomas Murray and their father Tommy Murray; her great-grandchildren, Karlee Eugenio and Milleigh Murray; sister, Lois (Gary) Roberts of Alexandria, VA; niece Meredith (James) Bates; great-nephews and niece Jake, Christine and Will Bates; stepchildren David (Kathy), Robert (Deborah) and Frank (Julie) McQuilkin; step-grandchildren, Stephanie, Jimmy, Kasey, Joey, Brett, and Kelly; step-great-grandchildren, Waylon, Johnny, Cameron, Collins, and Brooks. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy., Pasadena, MD 21122.
