anet Richman Clay, 88, a 5-year resident of Davidsonville, MD and previously of North Fort Myers, FL, Willingboro, NJ, and Riverton, NJ passed away on February 27, 2025. Born on April 11, 1936 in Riverton, NJ to the late Horace Abraham Richman and Agnes O’Brien Richman, she graduated from Palmyra High School before enjoying careers at Bell Telephone and as a beloved lunch lady at JFK and Willingboro High Schools in the Willingboro public school system. She was a longtime active member of Corpus Christi Church in Willingboro, and a devoted choir singer. She regularly volunteered at Bingo and enjoyed working at the church’s annual carnival. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing golf, ceramics, crocheting, gardening, and reading. She also enjoyed the company of her cat, Axel and many pets before. She was a member of various groups at Buccaneer Estates in Fort Myers. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Joseph “Russ” Clay, and her siblings, Harry Richman of Riverton, NJ and Dorothy Moon of Muncie, IN. She is survived by her children, Linda (Gene) of Virginia Beach, VA, Debbie (Sean) of Davidsonville, MD, and Patricia (Mark) of Salisbury, MD; her grandsons, Conor (Stephanie) O’Hara, Joseph (Arooj) Bonsall, Liam Holmes, and Jared Shapert; her granddaughters, Amanda (Richard) Long, Caitlin (Chad) Lyall, and Colleen O’Hara; her five great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Oliver, and Greyson Long, Annie and Owen Lyall, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Janet’s life at her Memorial Mass to be held on Saturday, March 29 at 1:30 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
