n Monday, July 30, 2012, Janice Branzell Rolens, 76, a lifelong resident of the Eastport community in Annapolis, died at home due to complications of diabetes.
Born in Eastport on December 8, 1935 to the late John and Dorothy Branzell, Janice retired from the Anne Arundel County Board of Education after 25 years of service. In her spare time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, genealogy and was a voracious reader.
Janice is survived by one son, Eric Rolens of Crofton; four daughters, Dawn Tichnell of Springville, CA, Jo Darras of Woodinville, WA, Nancie Rolens of Annapolis and Paula Snell of Virginia Beach, VA; two grandsons, Joey Tichnell and Donald Snell; three granddaughters, Elizabeth Snell, Laura Tichnell and Sara Fisher; also survived by six great-grandchildren.
All services are private.
