Jay Young - Obituary

oung, J. Belden (Jay) On March 29th at 7:19pm, Jay Young of West River experienced victory over his battle with ALS. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years, Sherrie, and his son, Joshua. As a man devoted to Jesus, he lived his life without regrets or compromise, faithfully serving his family and Jesus Christ, even during the difficulty of his last days. The family invites any and all people to join them in celebrating his rich legacy at Riva Trace Baptist Church on April 14th. Sherrie and Joshua will receive guests from 10-11am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Riva Trace Baptist Church General Fund or Hospice of the Chesapeake. "Being confident of this, that he who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the coming of Jesus Christ" - Philippians 1:6.
