Jean Estabrook - Obituary

ean O’Donovan Estabrook, age 89, a resident of Sherwood Forest for more than fifty years, died on Tuesday, August 20 at Heartlands in Severna Park. Born on March 6, 1924 in Altoona, PA, Jean graduated from St. Cecilia's Academy. She made a career out of making a comfortable home for her husband and her eight children. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy O’Donovan, M.D., who died in 1973. She is survived by three daughters, Maureen O’Donovan Klepper and Meaghan O’Donovan Baldecchi of Sherwood Forest and Colleen O’Donovan Fitzgerald of Bronxville, NY; five sons, Timothy O’Donovan, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA, Stephen O’Donovan of Ft. Myers, FL, Denis, Terrence and Sean O’Donovan all of Sherwood Forest, and twenty two grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Jean’s Life Celebration from 2 to 5 pm on Friday, August 23 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 noon on Saturday, August 24 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Rd., Annapolis. Interment private.
