Jeanette Music - Obituary

eanette Burke "J.B." Music, 69, a four year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Delaware, died on December 6 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD after a lengthy battle with various cancers. Born on August 20, 1946 in Washington, D.C. to the late Robert E. and Dorcas H. Burke, J.B. graduated from George Madison High School. She worked at Hickory Farms and Britts Department Store in the Parole area of Annapolis from 1971 to 1981 and later retired from the Maryland State Department of Assessments & Taxation. J.B. was a member of Shady Side Baptist Church. She enjoyed and owned her own ceramics shop. She also enjoyed oil painting, photography and computer games. She was an animal rights advocate for all animals and loved hazelnut coffee and Jelly Belly jelly beans. This incredible woman beat and survived 7 different types of cancer and was a loyal and true friend. In addition to her parents, J.B. was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Richard Music whom died on June 17, 2010. they were married in 1981. She is survived by her brother, Randolph Edward Burke of Edgewater, MD and her sister, Sandra Lee Burke of Churchton, MD. Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 10 at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7500 Greenway Center Dr., Ste. 300, Greenbelt, MD 20770 or the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403.
