J

eanette Catherine Talbott, 97, a 12-year resident of Ashburn, VA and previously a 40-year resident of Rockville, MD, passed away on February 19, 2024 in Harwood, MD. Born on May 28, 1926 in Baltimore, MD to the late Joseph Fredrick Hoenig and Eleanore Peters Hoenig, Jeanette attended St. James Elementary School and St. Dominic’s before graduating from Seton High School in Baltimore. Jeanette was a parishioner at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Ashburn, VA and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rockville, MD. She was involved in local gardening and antique clubs, neighborhood bridge groups, and was a regular at the senior center. Jeanette is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Harry P. Talbott, as well as her siblings, Ruth Hoenig, Richard Hoenig, and Joan Hartman. She is survived by her children, David L. Talbott (Naomi) of Edgewater, MD, Christine T. Wilson (David) of Manassas, VA, and Laurie T. Spence (Broughton) of Sunderland, MD; grandsons, Baruch, John, and Ben Talbott, George Spence, and Evan, Joe, Max, and Jonas Wilson; granddaughters, Katie Medley, Kristin Solomon, Kelly Davis, Hannah DeBarba, Camilla Alfaro, Princess Talbott, and Abby and Ella Spence; nine great-grandchildren, as well as her sister, Eleanor Dickson of Timonium, MD. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 26 from 4 to 6 PM at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, March 9 at 11 AM, with a rosary service beginning at 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 15663 Norbeck Road, Silver Spring, MD. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, P.O.
