Jeanette Trilli - Obituary

n Sunday, January 17, Jeannette Chillem Trilli of Heritage Harbor died at her home. Jean was born the eighth of nine children on May 21, 1920, in Pennsylvania to Samuel and Mary Chillem. During World War II, Jean was the secretary to the Commander of the Navy Redistribution Center in Philadelphia, PA. During the war Jean also met her future husband, Delmo Trilli while he was on shore leave in Philadelphia . After several years of pen correspondence, Jean and Dell were married on July 27, 1946. Jean and her husband lived in District Heights where she was very active at Mt. Calvary Elementary school, volunteering as Sister Gabriel's secretary. She also held the position of the Girl Scouts Regional Director in Prince George's County. Jean was a member of the Sons of Italy and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis. Jean enjoyed shopping and , in her younger years, sewing clothes for her daughters. She is survived by her husband, Dell of 69 years; a son, AJ Trilli and his wife, Ruth of Pasadena, MD; two daughters, Susan Slaysman and her fiancé, Mark Goodwin of Abingdon, MD, and Adrienne Myers and her husband, Thomas of Chester, MD; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grand children. On Thursday , January 21 at 9 AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation in Jean's name be made to the Kids Wish Network, 4060 Louis Ave., Holiday, Florida 34691.
