Jeanne R. Bedard, 94, a resident of Edgewater for 47 years and previously of Camp Springs, MD, died on January 23, 2024 of natural causes in Annapolis.  Born in New Bedford, MA on May 19, 1929 to Alfred and Alice Richard, she was a high school graduate and longtime homemaker.  She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, puzzles and spending time in her rocking chair in her gazebo.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Normand H. Bedard.  She is survived by her children; Richard Bedard of Ocean View, DE, Frank Bedard of Crofton, Normand Bedard of Severna Park, David Bedard of Sunderland, MD, Donald Bedard of Churchton and Diane Effland of Palm Harbor, FL; her sister, Claudette Jensen of Fairhaven, MA; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.  Services and interment are private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jeanne’s name may be made to La Casa Homes, LLC, 2574 South Haven Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.
