J

eanne Marie Brown, 79, a 50-year resident of Davidsonville, MD and previously of Landover Hills, MD passed away peacefully at her home on February 22, 2025. Born on April 1, 1945 in Cheverly, MD to the late Katherine and Charles Montgomery, Sr., she graduated with the first graduating class of Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg, MD, where she was a student from 1959 to 1963. Jeanne worked from home crafting beautiful custom windows and window treatments for over 50 years. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, tennis, and bike riding. Above all, Jeanne loved spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids play sports or perform in dance recitals and plays. She never missed any of her grandkids’ activities. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, James Roy Brown and her brothers, Charles Montgomery, Jr. and Raymond Grant. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Elliott (David); her sons, Chris Brown (Josalyn) and Jimmy Brown (Sarah); her grandchildren, Madison Evans, Sierra and Brooklyn Elliott, Raegan, Mason, Jameson, and Caitlyn Brown; two great-grandchildren, Oakland and Jackson Evans; and her brother, Robert Montgomery. A memorial Mass for Jeanne will be celebrated on Friday, February 28 at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, followed by a reception in the church hall.
