Jeanne Marie Tripp - Obituary

eanne Marie Tripp, 70, a resident of Riva, MD for 3 years and previously of Bowie, MD, died on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. Born on October 15, 1952 in Washington, DC to the late Fred and Margaret Goforth, Jeanne was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, MD. She enjoyed being a mom and homemaker while her children were young and then started a second career working with P.G. County Public Schools as a cafeteria worker in the late 1990’s. Jeanne was a former parishioner at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Bowie, MD and enjoyed doing crosswords, going to the movies and spending time with her family especially watching and cheering on her grandchildren in their sports. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Robert “Bob” Tripp who passed away in 2011. Jeanne is survived by her children, Keith (Jamie) Tripp of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Kristy (Mike) Dionisio of Glen Burnie, MD, Michelle (Eric) Rolens of Riva, MD and Adam (Heather) Tripp of Prince Frederick, MD; her siblings, Don (Tricia) Goforth of Lusby, MD and Diane Nalls of Fieldale, VA and her grandchildren, Zack Dionisio, Isabella Tripp, Bianca, Brody and Brynnlee Rolens and Logan Tripp. Friends are invited to celebrate Jeanne’s life on Tuesday, May 9 from 4 pm until her funeral service begins at 7 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment will be on Wednesday at 10 am at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD. Condolences may be made by using the Memories tab on this page.
