Jeffrey Dale Shields - Obituary

effrey Dale Shields, 69, of Edgewater, MD passed away on September 11, 2021. Jeff was born on May 15, 1952, in Washington, DC to the late Dale and Helen Shields. After working for his father after high school, Jeff ventured out to his love of sailing. He obtained his Captain's License, began delivering boats, and performing the tedious job of brightwork restoration. He was an avid reader of non-fiction novels especially his Bible and enjoyed working and developing his garden vegetables. Jeff is survived by his wife, Cathy, and his siblings; Patricia (Steven) Ohlund of Connecticut and Colleen (Bob) Giles of Millersville, MD. A celebration of Jeff’s life is being planned for Friday, October 22, 2021, at 2 pm at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 4012 Birdsville Rd, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
