ennifer Adelena Zimmerman, 59, of Sussex County, DE and formerly of Anne Arundel County, MD passed away on June 27, 2025, at TidalHealth Hospital in Salisbury, MD following a stubborn and courageous fight against an extended illness.
Born on July 31, 1966, in Prince George’s County, MD to the late George J. and Eva Myrtle Busch Herrell, Jennifer spent nearly four decades in Anne Arundel County before relocating to Delaware in 2004. She enjoyed a successful career in banking in the Annapolis and Crofton areas, where she was known for her dedication and warm professionalism.
Jennifer was a passionate listener of classic rock and a movie enthusiast, especially scary movies. She loved lively discussions, particularly about politics, which she often shared on social media. Yet her greatest joy was spending time with her three children, especially during the Christmas and Halloween celebrations. She had a vibrant spirit and a quick wit that brightened every gathering.
In addition to her parents, Jennifer was preceded in death by her loving husband, Adam Nelson Casey. She is survived by her children, James Zimmerman of Stevensville, MD, Adam Casey Jr. of Annapolis, MD and Caroline Casey of Laurel, DE; her grandson, Adam Casey III, of Annapolis, MD; her siblings, Susan Herrell of Riva, MD and George J. Herrell of Annapolis, MD; her nephews, Jay H., Eric G. and Michael E. Kalin and her niece Rachel E. Petrucci.
Friends are invited to celebrate Jennifer’s life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, July 8 from 3 to 5 pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD on Wednesday, July 9 at 11 AM.
