erold F. “Jerry” Wyvill, age 74, of Upper Marlboro, MD passed away on Wednesday, February 10 following a brief illness. He was the beloved son of the late Andrew J. and Rachel Wyvill; brother of Samuel A. (Peg) and J. Craig (Peggy) Wyvill, Sally (Steve) Bond and the late Thomas A. Wyvill; brother in law of Bonnie Wyvill; uncle of David (Cindy) Wyvill, Patricia (John) Tayag, Mary (Cory) Hilke, Stacy (Sean) Doll, Jessica (Patrick) Heavin, Sara Pray, Michael (Elaine) and Christopher (Jackie) Bond and he is also survived by many beloved great nieces and nephews. A lifelong resident of the area, Jerry worked for more than 36 years at PEPCO where he held a number of positions. He was a High Voltage Representative during the construction of the DC Metro subway system and he also served as a PEPCO liaison during several Presidential Inaugurations. Jerry was a long time power boating enthusiast, captaining 3 boats on the Chesapeake Bay, the most recent being the RAZZ III out of Herrington Harbor in Rose Haven, MD. Over the course of his life he had the opportunity to travel to numerous places including England, Hawaii and the Caribbean, but it was his lifelong love of the Chesapeake Bay and his many adventures on it that were among his fondest memories. Due to COVID restrictions, a memorial service will be delayed until a later date.
