erry Burnett, age 79, passed away on December 4, 2014. Jerry was a native of Montgomery, NY and was an Annapolis resident since 1977 having moved to the east coast from San Diego. Spanning a career of over 35 years with Westinghouse Jerry was an electrical engineer whose expertise in aviation and undersea development included work with the Cousteau Society and a one year residency in Paris. He and his wife Bobbie Burnett shared 54 years of marriage. After retirement Jerry, with his wife, co-managed the Caring Collection, Inc. a nonprofit organization Bobbie founded to create and sell stained glass items. Jerry was deeply dedicated to the organization's mission to donate proceeds to oncology research. In addition to a love of travel and golf, Jerry was an avid sailor who enjoyed cruising on the Chesapeake Bay aboard the 35 foot sailboat he and Bobbie built themselves. Friends and acquaintances will remember Jerry's quick and endearing sense of humor and his unfailing optimism in the face of declining health. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother William Burnett and sister Marjorie Burnett of Sarasota, FL, as well as a worldwide circle of friends.
