Jessica Stern - Obituary

LICK HERE TO VIEW JESSICA'S VIDEO TRIBUTE Jessica Anne Stern, 22, of Edgewater for eight years, died as a result of brain cancer Nov. 30 at her home. Born Aug. 1, 1985 at Andrews Air Force Base, she was a 2003 graduate of South River High School, prior to that she attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Day School in Bowie. She was pursuing an Associate's degree Business at Anne Arundel Community College and was a cashier at Fitzgerald Auto Mall. Ms. Stern was the 2003 DECA Marketing Club first place winner at the county and state levels and received an Award of Excellence at the entrepreneurship writing event. In 1999 she was chosen to play the flute for the Prince George's County Junior Youth Orchestra. Her hobbies included snowboarding, playing pool and she was an avid movie buff. She enjoyed spending time with her friends. Survivors include her parents, retired. Col. Ed Stern, USAF, and retired Lt. Col. Terri Stern, USAF of Edgewater; one brother Chris Stern of Catonsville; and grandparents Sylvia Lewis of Tampa, Fla., and Tibor and Joann Stern of Amarillo, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 15 at the George P. Kalas Life Celebration Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401
