Jessie G. Huntington - Obituary

essie G. Huntington, 95, a resident of Edgewater, MD for 15 years and previously of Montgomery Village in Gaithersburg, MD died on Sunday, January 21 in Annapolis, MD. Born on November 19, 1922 in Aquasco, MD to the late George and Edith Tippett Gibbons, Jessie was an executive assistant with National Geographic Magazine for many years. She was a founding member of The Mid Atlantic Community Church and enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, crocheting, painting and Bible study. Jessie was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Charles Huntington. She is survived by her children, Nancy Peach of Annapolis, MD and Charles Huntington of Fairmont, WV; her sister, Betty Barbee of North Carolina and her grandchildren, Matthew, John, Michael and Stephen Huntington, James Peach and Pam Peach-Robinson. Friends are invited to celebrate Jessie's life on Thursday from 10:30 AM until her funeral service begins at 11:30 AM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD.
