Joan T. Francis - Obituary

oan Theresa Francis, 85, a 15-year resident of Odenton, MD, died on Sunday, April 22, 2018, in Lothian, MD from complications from hip surgery. Born October 13, 1932, at Washington Hospital Center, Joan worked at the Government Printing Office. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn S. Francis, who died in May of 2000; her daughter, Deborah Zamaria; and a brother, Sonny Wesley. Joan is survived by three children, Steven Francis of Long, SC, Sherry Francis of Odenton, MD, and Christine Brown of Lothian, MD; and four grandchildren, Thomas Zamaria, III and Jeremy Zamaria of Manassas, VA, and Justin and Jordon Brown of Lothian, MD. Friends are invited to celebrate Joan's life on Tuesday ,May 1, 2018 from 11 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial begins at 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Rd., West River, MD.
