Joan Ironmonger - Obituary

oan Moreland Ironmonger Joan M. Ironmonger, 82, a 44 year resident of Arnold, died on October 1, 2013 at Anne Arundel Medical Center from complications of an aneurysm. Joan was born September 27, 1931 in Tuxedo Park, New York to the late Harry and Mary Moreland. She attended George F. Baker High School and The Scudder School in New York. Joan enjoyed music, laughter, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Joan is survived by her husband of 63 years, John G. Ironmonger, two children; Douglas Ironmonger and Sandy Ironmonger, both of Annapolis, three grandchildren; Andrew, Hannah and Rachel Ironmonger, and one great grandson, Griffin Ironmonger. Friends are invited to Joan’s Life Celebration on Saturday, October 19, 2013 beginning at 2pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD, with a memorial service that begins at 3pm. Interment private.
