Joanne Cunningham - Obituary

oanne “Jodi” Cunningham, an 8-year resident of Edgewater, Maryland and previously of Stevensville, Maryland, passed away at her home on October 10, 2026 due to natural causes. Born on December 12, 1934 in Washington, DC, Joanne graduated high school, going on to start a family and establish a career as a bartender and caregiver. She was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Annapolis, and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. Joanne’s family and friends were incredibly important to her. She was a mentor to many family members and friends, with many people calling her “Mom”. Joanne was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Crook. She is survived by her sons, Chris Cunningham of Edgewater, MD, John Cunningham of Edgewater, MD, Joe Sullivan of Lakeworth, FL, and Bob Cunningham of Bethany Beach, DE; her daughter, Terri Lane of Bowie, MD; four grandsons; eight granddaughters, and nine great-grandchildren.
