Joanne Haines - Obituary

oanne B. Haines, of Edgewater, MD, died on May 29, 2015. She was 79. Born May 13, 1936 in Washington, D.C., she worked at C&P Telephone, as an Office Manager for, her husband's company, Gomoljak and Haines and as a greeter for 20+ years at Sam's Club in Annapolis, where she received numerous awards. Joanne enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching Ravens football, collecting Ravens Memorabilia, having crab Feasts at her house with her co workers from Sam's Club, riding around in her Bright Red Durango and being with her dog, Raven. She was a member of the Colts Corral #23. Joanne was the beloved wife of Richard A. Haines, whom she married on April 2,1960 and who died July 20, 1991; devoted mother of Jay Haines and wife, Gayle Haines of Prince Frederick, MD and Gary Haines and his wife, Cora Haines of Edgewater, MD; grandmother of Charles Haines and his wife, Brenna Haines of McPherson, KS, Joyce Arter and her husband, Matt of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Joey Haines of Bowie, MD and Richard Haines of Edgewater, MD; great-grandmother of Nathaniel and Diana Haines of McPherson, KS and Zoey Arter of Chesapeake Beach, MD; sister of Joyce Brown of Prince Frederick, MD; and numerous cousins Friends may call at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, on Friday, June 5 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm, with a prayer service at 7pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment private.
