Joanne Hogan - Obituary

oanne Marie Starrett Hogan, “Jo”, age 61, a 34 year resident of Loch Haven, died on Saturday April 5 at her residence of natural causes. Born on October 22, 1952 in Washington, D.C. to the late John Edward and Marjorie Starrett, Jo was a 1971 graduate of Southern High School and a 1976 graduate of the Prince George’s Community College School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse in various specialties her entire career, she had a passion for taking care of others. Jo is survived by her husband, Robert L. Hogan, who she married on July 15, 1978; a son, Brandon Hogan of Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Katelyn Hogan of Charlotte, NC; a brother, John Starrett and his wife, Rebecca of Middletown, CT and two nieces, Laura Starrett of Middletown, CT and Nicole Starrett of Los Angeles, CA. Friends are invited to Jo’s Life Celebration from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, April 8 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD.
