Joanne Linda Walter - Obituary

oanne L. Walter, 76, a 49-year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Laurel, MD, died on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Anne Arundel Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Born August 26, 1945 in Laurel, MD to the late Stephen and Catherine Boyle, she was a graduate of Annapolis High School. Joanne was a homemaker most of her life and she enjoyed ceramics, crafts, bowling, billiards, and was a TAP League Operator for 20 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen J. Boyle, Jr. and Thomas L. Boyle, Sr. Joanne is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas George Walter, Jr.; two children, Mark T. Walter and his wife, Allyson of Brandon, FL and Stefanie J. Manning and her husband, Anthony of Pasadena, MD; a grandson, Cameron Walter; two step-grandchildren, Travis Manning and Jessica Nicholson; and two step-great-grandchildren. A celebration of Joanne's life will be held at the home of Anthony and Stefanie Manning on Friday, August 26 at 6 pm. Condolences may be made by using the Memories tab on this page.
