John Armacost - Obituary

ohn Bernard Armacost, 70, a resident of Chester and previously of Marysville, OH, died March 7 at the South River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Edgewater. Born on March 4, 1944 in Washington, DC to the late Catherine and Christopher Armacost, Sr., John made a career as an employee of Goodyear in Ohio. He enjoyed traveling extensively to tour lighthouses. John was preceded in death by his brother, Chris Armacost and sister, Joan Gardiner. He is survived by one brother, James Armacost of Alexandria, VA; six nephews, Chris, Steve and Mike Gardiner and Mark, Tony and Matthew Armacost; and a niece, Theresa Hayden. Friends are invited to John’s Life Celebration from 11:30 a.m. until his funeral service begins at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 10 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery in Baltimore.
