John Ernest Bellosi - Obituary

ohn Ernest Bellosi, 80, a resident of Vero Beach, FL, died on Saturday October 20, 2018. Born on December 19, 1937 in Washington, DC to the late Amerigo and Ernestine (Briguglio) Bellosi. John started working at an early age and in 1965 he founded J & J Iron Works in Clinton, MD. He led an active life surrounded by his family and friends. John enjoyed going to his favorite restaurants, thoroughbred horse racing, casinos and betting on football, especially the Redskins. He was passionate about Italian food, cooking for and being with his family and friends and he always liked a good Super Bowl party. John was the loving husband of 33 years of, Susan Leaberry Bellosi; proud father of, Ernestine (Richard) Huff and Cynthia Ashby both of Vero Beach, FL, Lisa (Thomas Bunn) Bellosi of Annapolis, MD, John Bellosi, Jr. of Sunderland, MD, James and Anthony Bellosi both of Clinton, MD and the late Ashley Bellosi and Sharon Hostetler-Bellosi; brother of Joseph (Jean) Bellosi, Rose (Robert) Owens and the late Cecelia Marshall and Marco Bellosi; brother-in-law of Linda Bellosi and grandfather of the late, Anthony, Gabrielle and John Bellosi, III and Brittany Ritenour. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Friends are invited to celebrate John's life at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Monday, October 29 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD on Tuesday, October 30 at 11 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD.
