John Butkowski - Obituary

ohn P. Butkowski, age 71, a resident of Edgewater, MD for 40 years and previously of Washington, DC, died on 9/24/08 at Heritage Harbour Health & Rehabilitation Center of complications due to cancer. He was born on March 31, 1937 in Quantico, VA. He was a locksmith at the Pentagon most of his working life. He served in the US Coast Guard. He enjoyed fishing, playing the banjo, travelling and playing slots at the casino with his wife. Wife- the late Mary Ellen Butkowski who died on Sept. 20, 2008 Sister- Betty Tyler of Culpeper, VA Survived by 12 grandchildren Friends may call at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Thursday, 9/25/08, from 10:00 AM until funeral service begins at 11:00 AM. He will be interred together with his wife, who died on September 20, 2008, at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD following the funeral service.
