John McLane Castro - Obituary

ohn “Jack” McLane Castro passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Jack surpassed medical expectations for all 5,812 days of his short life, surviving after being born premature at 23 weeks on December 14, 2001 far before his April 2nd due date. Without ever saying a word or taking a step, Jack taught all those who met him how important it is to treat people with disabilities as important members of the family and community. Jack will be very busy guiding and protecting his seven siblings: Meghan, Elise, Marley, Elizabeth, Jerry, Cary, and Jett. He is eternally loved forevermore by his grateful parents who embraced the role of caretaker with every fiber of their being for his 15 years: Jerry and Catherine Castro. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jack Castro Memorial Fund for Special Children, information is forthcoming.
