John F. Dizon - Obituary

ohn Feliciano Dizon went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 5, 2021 at age 92. John (Jesus) Feliciano Dizon was born to Conrado Dizon and Cipriana Feliciano on June 25, 1928 in Angeles City, Philippines. As a child, he helped to take care of younger siblings and was a hard worker on the farm with his parents. John met his wife, Bonifacia Cabigting in 1950 at Nixon Tailoring in the marketplace. They married October 10, 1951 and went on to have seven children: Clarita, Gelacio, Adelaida, Reynaldo, Rodolfo, Evelina and Alejandro. John immigrated to the United States in the mid 1980's and worked several jobs, but worked the longest in the hot dog vending business from 1988 to 2008 alongside his wife, Bonifacia. In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, John was a very hard worker and put his seven children through college with the help of his equally hard–working wife. Selflessly he worked and sacrificed any vacation time so that he can also help support many relatives back home in the Philippines. John also loved watching primetime shows such as Three’s Company, Who's the Boss, Wonder Woman, and Macgyver to name a few. He also enjoyed old western shows starring John Wayne and other primetime shows starring Chuck Norris and Charles Bronson. Throughout his life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. John was a faithful servant of the Lord. He was one of the original deacons of Central Assembly of God Angeles City where he also served as a Sunday school teacher. He served both ministries with utmost faithfulness and integrity. John also attended Assembly of God in Arlington, VA as well as Christ Cares Alliance Church in Jacksonville, FL. He passed this legacy to his children and grandchildren. John joins his parents and siblings in Heaven. He is survived by his wife, Bonifacia C. Dizon, along with their 7 children and their spouses (Clarita and husband Isaias Del Rosario, Gelacio and wife Marita, Adelaida, Reynaldo and wife Grace, Rodolfo and wife Leonila, Evelina, and Alejandro and wife Liberty) and 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
