ohn “Bill” William Howes, Jr., of Millersville, MD and previously of Annapolis, MD and Churchton, MD died on September 24, 2010 at North Arundel Health and Rehabilitation Center of natural causes.
Born February 24, 1950 in Annapolis, MD, to the late Mary G. and John W. Howes, Sr., he graduated from Southern High School and Trade School in Lothian, MD. Billy was employed as a telephone clerk for Papa Johns and previously sold catalog order for Sears. He volunteered with the Red Cross. His memberships included the Knights of Columbus, St. Bernadette Council #11214 and the Admiral Benson, 4th degree assembly. Bill enjoyed computers, boating, the Orioles, the Ravens and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cook Howes; his daughter, Amy Marie Howes; his siblings, Thomas G. Howes of Nashville, TN, Edward L. Howes of Delaware, Marie M. Krause of Annapolis, MD and Teresa A. Howes of Annapolis, MD.
Friends are invited to Bill’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, September 27 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, West River, MD. Interment church cemetery.
