ohn “Jack†Wiley Hunt, a 3 year resident of Heritage Harbour in Annapolis, previously a 10 year resident of Gransonville and a 36 year resident of Severna Park, died on Friday September 12, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center from natural causes. He was 86.
Born December 7, 1921 in Catonsville, MD to William J. and Lula Peach Hunt, he graduated from Mount St. Jospeh High School in 1939.
He served in the US Navy and retired as a sales representative for Hunt Supply Company. Jack was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville, MD and also was a former member of the Annapolis Yacht Club and Potapskut Sailing Association. His hobbies included sailing.
Jack was the beloved husband of Augusta “Dussa†Hennighausen Hunt,whome he married in 1958,father of John W.(Wendy) Hunt, Jr. of Annapolis, MD and Susan(Matthew) Aucoin of Ellicott City, MD, brother of Richard J. Hunt of Rockville, MD, Pat Hunt Rowe of St. Michael's, MD and the late William J. Hunt, Jr. and Rev. Lawrence J. Hunt, SJ. Loving grandfather of Elisabeth K., Matthew J. and the late Jaclyn V. Hunt, and Derek M., Spencer A., and Hayley M. Aucoin. Friends are invited to Jack's Life Celebration on Monday September 15, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home. 2973 Solomons Island Rd. Edgewater, MD. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church 826 W. Central Ave. Davidsonville, MD. Interment private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Avenue Annapolis, MD 21403 or to the Jesuit Jamshedpur Mission c/o Fr.
