John J. Jennings - Obituary

ohn Joseph Jennings, age 88, of Edgewater, MD passed away on July 17, 2022. John was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 12, 1934 to the late John Joseph Jennings and Bridget Delia Moran Jennings. John is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Irene Yonkers Jennings; his children, Sharon (David) Boone of Ellicott City, MD and John Joseph (Anne) Jennings of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Emilie (Andrew Kupchock), Cory (Laura), Steven and Brian Boone and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Francis Jennings and James Patrick Jennings and his beloved aunt, Catherine “Kitty” Jennings. Family and friends are invited to celebrate John's life on Tuesday, July 26, from 11 am until Mass of Christian Burial is offered at 12 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s University, 5600 City Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131, or a charity of your choice.
